Jersey B&B

Hi!

I'l thinking of staying in Jersey in August. I've never been there, and not sure yet if I'll get a car, but I was curious if there were recommendations for places or general areas of the island people have stayed/recommend. It will be just me, so small B&B's are great too. WC down the hall is fine. $50-150 range. Rick Steves types..... centrally located and/or family run/local places .

Many thanks!

If you decide against a rental car, I highly suggest staying in St. Helier. It's the capital and the public-transportation hub. There's very good public-bus service from the airport.

I'm traveling and don't have access to the notes from my 2017 visit to Jersey, so I can't tell you where I stayed, but I found the place on booking.com. I bet there's a lodging list on the tourist board's website, which might include some less expensive places not listed on the major booking platforms. However, I think your budget will probably be OK.

With a car you might opt for a geographically more central location, but I have no particular place to suggest. There are interesting sights scattered all over the island, but you'd have to decide which ones you were most interested in.
