Itinerary help/thoughts- 9 days- early March 2024

hello helpful people! Can you kindly lend your advice to the following rough itinerary- we are 2 late-50s travelers who have been to London several times, so this trip will be for other parts of England not yet explored. We love history, castles, museums, walking. We will not have a car, so one question is, should I buy a rail pass? Here's the rough thought: Day 1, arrive Heathrow 9 am in London (from east coast US flight); immediately take train to York. Day 2-3 York. Day 3 afternoon depart York for Bath. Day 4-5 in Bath. Day 6, visit Stonehenge (on a tour) and the cathedral at Salisbury. [Question- do the tour from Bath or Salisbury? and sleep that night in Bath, or Salisbury?] Day 7 morning, train to London. Over the next 2 days, day trips to Cambridge and Windsor, evenings in London. Day 9 full London day, Day 10 depart late afternoon. I appreciate the insights! Thank you!
