Islington or Angel hotel recommendations?

I'm traveling to London with a friend in October and he is hoping to stay in either the Islington or Angel region. Anyone have good hotel recommendations? Not looking to break the bank (max 200 to 300 GBP per night - cheaper is better!), and we would like separate beds and a bathroom. Thanks!
