We currently have ferry tickets to get to the Isle of Man TT next June. it's about a 3 hour ferry ride.
What is the ferry ride like? Do the riders put their motorcycles on the ferry? Is it quite a pary atmosphere or ok
for little ones to ride/
I've not been on the ships at TT time, just in Douglas but would expect it to be a happy party time.
Yes they bring the bikes on board and the ports will be an exciting place to be beforehand. They are on the locked car deck during the crossing.
On the Mannanan it's basically one big deck, but with a segregated play area.
On the Manxman and the Ben-my-Chree there are play areas and lots of open deck. The Manxman also has a free movie theatre and all three vessels have free Wifi.
I would expect the bars and restaurants to be mobbed, but open deck to be quiet.
All three vessels have private lounges with complimentary light snacks - may be worth booking those or a cabin on the Manxman or the Ben as a break out zone.
On the Ben the lounge is at the front of the ship, which is annoying at night as the curtains are closed to reduce glare. But great views by day.
I'm glad you've found somewhere to stay on the Island.
Thank you!!!
