Isle of Man -airport transfer by steam train

The latest Steve Marsh video is out- showing you one of the best airport transfers anywhere-
by steam train to Ronaldsway Airport, Isle of Man, then the shortest Easy Jet flight- Ronaldsway to Belfast City.

I have done that steam train transfer, from the airport into Douglas- and it really is fun and as easy as shown-

It is almost worth doing it just as a fun route to Belfast- overnight Heysham to Douglas on the brand new 'Manxman' ferry, steam train then flight to Belfast.
From Belfast you could also do it as a route to Liverpool.

Having done the steam train trip many times over the last few years, very few people use Ronaldsway Halt. There's always great excitement when the train stops there. Most people use the bus which picks up immediately outside the terminal building and is a 20 minute service... It's a short station so you do need to make sure you are in the correct carriage for getting off. Also remember to tell the gauard when getting on the train you want to get off there. If wanting to board, give a clear signal to the driver letting him know that you want him to stop.

Also there is a stile to climb over - maybe not much fun if you have luggage. Steve just had a back pack...
