Was looking at pictures of the Isabella Plantation and was thinking of visiting it when I am in London in May. Anyone visited it and if so what were your thoughts of it? Thanks
I live about 10 minutes away. The plantation is particularly lovely in May when the rhododendrons are in flower, though it's pretty nice the rest of the year too. It's a bit of a walk if you're coming on public transport--the best bet is a train to Kingston then a bus (No 85 I think) to Ladderstile Gate. If you're driving, it's only a short walk from one of the park car parks.
It's well worth taking some extra time and wandering about the rest of Richmond Park too.
Thanks for the reply. I am planning on landing in London about May 12th or so for 4 or 5 days and this is something that will help out with my budget too.
Thank you for asking this question. I had not heard of Isabella Plantation but it looks like a place we will want to visit while in London in May.
