Hi, All-
Rather than returning to Windsor from Bath the day before our flight out of Heathrow this coming Thursday, Mom and I decided to stay in Bath one more night (we love it!!). Our flight to NYC leaves Heathrow at 15:45 (3:45 pm) on Thursday. There is a bus from Bath to Heathrow leaving at 8:05 and arriving at 10:20 and the next bus leaves Bath at 10:15 and arrives at 12:30. Obviously, we would like to avoid waiting for hours at the airport, but I’m wondering what you all would suggest. Is it best to take the early bus just in case of any issues because it leaves us extra time or would be probably be OK to arrive at 12:30 (3 hours before our international flight)? Is it too much of a gamble? Thank you in advance for any advice!
Early bus. I'd rather have a few hours to fill at Heathrow than miss the flight due to delays on the road.
Another vote for the early bus. The M4 motorway that your bus will use is always busy and it only takes one accident to cause a snarl up that could easily see you late to the airport.
Early bus, there always seems to be traffic between Reading and Heathrow on the M4.
Is this cutting it too close--- OK to arrive at 12:30 (3 hours before our international flight?
That plan is just one hiccup from disaster........ Can you be 100% absolutely certain the bus will arrive on time?
Do you want to spend all morning plus the 2+ hr bus ride 'hoping' you get there on time?
Our one experience taking the coach from Bath to Heathrow, 2017, the bus was two hours late in arriving. Traffic. Unscheduled stops. We didn't leave LHR until the next day so it was OK for us, but I would hesitate to plan on same day departure.
Thanks, all- your replies make good sense, so early bus it is!
Good choice.
