Is packing a hairdryer necessary for England tour?

I am going to be traveling on the Best of England in 14 days tour this summer and in an effort to pack lighter, I would love to leave my travel hairdryer at home. Can anyone confirm if the RS hotels along the tour will have them in the room?
Thanks!

I don't believe I've ever had a Rick Steves tour hotel not have a hairdryer.
Just so you know, no hotel in the UK will have an outlet in the bathroom for a hairdryer.

NO. I have never stayed in a hotel in Europe that didn't have a hair dryer, and we don't stay in "high end" places. A few times when I didn't find one in the room, I asked and one was brought to me. Honestly, I'd be afraid to use my U.S. hair dryer for fear I'd cause an electrical problem.

I don't have an opinion, but I am curious whether travel hair dryers are dual voltage.

@VAP, I had always heard that newer hair appliances were dual voltage, but I've heard enough stories about problems tourists have caused with hair dryers, etc. In some of the older buildings the electrical may be more fragile, and I feel like if something were to happen, I'd rather be using their hair dryer.

If it is not obvious, look in the bottom of the wardrobe where some hotels hide them in draw string bags or in a drawer in a dressing table/desk.
