Interactive map for London and UK

We will be arriving in London in May 2023. I’m starting to figure out the different things we want to see.

Is there an interactive London map where I could pin my hotel and some key things I want to see? A map that would shown key London sights as I’m touring around?

I use google maps. You can pin different pins for different things as well, so example make my hotel a gold star, sites blue dots, food green arrows kind of thing.

I do the same as Mary 57, then use it offline. Citymapper is a site frequently mentioned as well.

I too pin places on Google maps. I pin places as soon as I hear of them so I don’t forget them later, even if it’s a year prior to the trip. Just before the trip I’ll download the map for offline use.

Another vote for Google Maps. Invaluable. If you download the area maps first, you don't even need an internet connection while you are poking around. But is better if you do have one.

I am going to suggest putting the City Mapper App on your phone. This is an invaluable tool in London as it gives live maps and transit suggestions. It knows your current location (with your permission) and you simply type in where you want to go. It will give you options, tell you how long the journey would take, and give you a map that shows you how to walk to the nearest bus or tube stop. Once on the bus it counts how many stops you need to go and notifies you when it is time to get off.

I have used City Mapper in several cities (including here in Seattle) and I found it extremely useful in London.

Agree the City Mapper is super-useful and worked great for us in London. Loved the transit info that was linked, in addition to the map features. We never got lost once!
