Inn or B&B near Heathrow Airport

Can anyone suggest an Inn or B&B very close to Heathrow airport? We would love to find one that will provide transportation to the airport in the morning. Thank you!

Not inns or B and B's, but I do know of several very convenient hotels.
Sofitel Hotel- a little pricey, but walk to terminal
Thistle Hotel- can take "pods" to the terminal from the car park right behind the hotel (small cost associated with this)
Several Airport Premier Inns. Can take bus or a cab to the airport and get there quickly.

I vote for the Sofitel. If you have Avios, you can use them there. V. convenient and pleasant. No hassle. Can't get any closer to terminal 5. There is a Marks and Spencer food store across from the entrance which I have found useful.

It's pricey, but I also recommend the Sofitel. I've stayed there probably half a dozen times. It's a couple of minutes walk (indoors) from the Terminal and the M & S previously mentioned is open 24 hours a day.

The hotel even has ice machines.

No transportation needed but your legs.

How reliable is the Thistle pod? It looks an interesting experience! And much cheaper than Sofitel.

What are the options for getting to Terminal 5 if the pod is not working?

Thank you!

Suzanne,

I stayed at the Sofitel T5 mid May. Near the entrance to the walkway to the hotel was a sign. It indicated that the thistle pods were not in service and to use a certain bus.

If you don’t mind taking a bus or Uber/taxi there are a number or hotels along bath road. The ones I looked at have been cheaper than the Sofitel. As others indicate the Sofitel is very nice and super convenient for T5.

I believe that T4 is now open. Pre Covid there was a premier inn and a Hilton that was connected to the terminal via a walkway. Longish walk to the Hilton which is the furthest. And there’s a Hilton Garden Inn at T2. Very cookie cutter type rooms and very forgettable but it serves its purpose.

We had a very good experience with "Heathrow Cottages" back in 2014.

https://www.heathrow-cottages.co.uk/

They picked us up at the airport, provided a wonderfully clean and charming room with lots of character (but with an exceedingly modern bathroom), served a fantastic traditional English breakfast, and took us back to Heathrow for our flight home. (If I recall correctly, at the time only one airport pick-up was included in the price of the room, but it was a modest fee to pay for the airport return. Things might be different now.) Prior to leaving that morning, we strolled over to a nearby church and admired the fascinating centuries-old carved tombstones which surrounded it. Enjoy your trip!

First, no hotels are allowed to have shuttle service to/from Heathrow, according to the airport website. Second, Bus 423 used to be a free bus to the local hotels, but starting in 2021, they now charge 1.65 UK. We already have a reservation near the airport and it is recommended to take Bus 423 to the hotel. But the bus does not take cash and I do not want to buy an Oyster card for a 5 minute trip to/from the hotel. We are there for one night on our way back from Europe. Here is the crazy thing: a contactless credit card can be used to transport only 1 person at a time on the bus. Can you buy bus tickets for two people in Heathrow airport using a credit card? Does anyone have experience using a contactless credit card short distance bus trip from Heathrow? They say some cards work, some do not and it is impossible to know in advance.
