I love it! Maybe I need to go back to London to follow some of those arrows!
Absolutely brilliant - thank you for sharing!
Bookmarked. Love the sense of humour. Dang it. Now I need to add days in London onto my fall trip.
Thank you Emma. Going to London in May and will use this for my trip.
This is an excellent list- I will just say tho that I opened it and the very first item on the top left (Southside House) is something that is no longer open- so just check online first if you find something on here you are interested in!
Reading through I am also finding a few museums that have extremely limited opening hours and in some cases are only open "on request" so just be aware of that as well.
Ooh, Emma, this is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm with Lane—ready to go back right now and do some re-exploring by following the arrows!
And that tulip stair—just gorgeous! Why have I never seen this before?
Just noticed that, below the infographic map, there's a paragraph that says:
"And, just for a bit of fun, we've added some of the many vanished museums of London, as well as a handful of 'wish list museums' we'd love to see set up."
So some locations no longer exist or have never existed.
Mardee, you should definitely visit the Queen's House in Greenwich- the whole building is beautiful! It may also interest you to know the tulip stairs are said to be haunted: https://www.rmg.co.uk/queens-house/attractions/queens-house-ghost
The attractions that are identified as closed or never existed are all in the bottom right. But as I said, some in the middle have closed as well. Some are also not museums, like Merton Abbey Mills, which is a little area with shops and a pub beside the river Wandle (very cute and easy to pair with a visit to Morden Hall Park).
Cat, I will definitely visit there. It looks fascinating, and that’s even more interesting about it being haunted!! Thanks!
Thank you so much Emma! What fun!
And thank you Mardee for calling my attention to this!
