Good day,
My wife and I are traveling from Boston to London, staying there for four days and then on to Florence. When flying from London, British airways from City airport, will we need to go through immigration in London? If so can you give me a rough idea on arrival time at the airport before our flight? Thanks in advance,
Joe
Joe, Immigration is going in, emigration is going out.
Your airline should tell you how far in advance to arrive at the airport.
Exiting the UK you will go through security, and the airline will check your ID (passport). The airline is required by the UK government to record your passport details, you will have to do this (online) before you can check in (also usually also online).
Once you have done the online check-in, just show up at the airport. London City is a small and efficient airport, arriving one hour before departure should be OK.
Thank you very much Chris
