What is the typical period of time it takes to get through immigration at London Heathrow? I will be arriving in Heathrow around 11:00 am on a weekday.

Depends on how many flights arrive the same time as yours. It is much faster now that U.S. passengers use the e-gates. When I was there last December it took less than 15 minutes. It took longer to walk from the arrival gate to immigration than it did to go through immigration.

To expand on Kevin’s post, if your passport has a chip n it, you can use the e-Gates.
