Hello! We have an opportunity to visit Windsor on Saturday, 1 October. Do you think normal tourist visits to the Castle will resume by then?
My understanding is the Queen is being laid to rest under the chapel there on Monday. We hope to watch some of the funeral on TV.

It ‘s website says it will closed for the month of September. Keep checking there. windsor.gov.uk

Thank you for the update, just purchased tickets for 10/1 as well. Do you have a contingency plan for travel if the rail strikes affect us that day?

Hi Elizabeth - 'Glad you got tickets.
We are visiting Windsor during a long Heathrow Airport layover. We will take a cab from the terminal. We don't anticipate needing to travel by rail.
