Hello - My husband and I are looking at visiting Canterbury during the last week of April when our daughter finishes her semester abroad at one of the universities there. After a few days in Canterbury, we would like to travel around a bit and see something new before we head to see family in Italy about a week later.
Looking for an economical way to get around as we've rented a car in that area twice before and my husband has PTSD from the experience. And if he's stressed about it, I'm going to take a pass. I think trains are really expensive in England so I guess that leaves buses? Looking for transportation ideas.
Also looking for ideas on what to see. My daughter has suggested Cornwall, but that seems far (though wonderful). We would like to see something new. This is where we've already been: Kent, East Sussex (Beachy Head, Brighton), Stonehenge, Bath, Salisbury, Shaftsbury, the Cotswolds, Oxford, and lots of London. I know London has endless sights and would be an easy answer, but I'd also like to see more of the countryside.
Thanks for your ideas
