Hyde Park concert

We have tickets to The Rolling Stones in Hyde Park this summer. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for what to expect? We have general admission tickets and I have read the concert venue and organizer websites so am really looking for some insider info from those in the know! Thanks.

ndteach1 - I will be staying on Bayswater Road that same weekend. It sounds like a great concert. I saw the Stones in DC in 1997 and it was a blast. Unfortunately, I will be skipping the concert since I've seen the Stones, and it's my first trip to London. I hope you have a great time.

We went to a Hyde Park summer concert in 2016, Carole King. It was actually on the day that our plane arrived. Hyde Park is huge and we didn't know exactly where the concert would be, so we walked around the outside and it was on the East side, not far from SE corner. (There are several tube stations not too far away.) I think we found it and entered around 4 pm. The concert viewing area is huge and there were many earlier acts on the stage, so it is worth going early to claim a location with a view you can see from. We were close to a tall tower/structure, perhaps lighting or controls, and that was a useful reference for finding the way back when one person left for drinks or restrooms. As I recall, the paved sidewalks were kept open. You will be standing for the last few hours.
Wear sunblock! It will be a great memory, especially when a film of the event is released.

In London right now, and there have been a few posters on Underground walls about the “Sixty” concert(s), along with the dates June 25 and July 3. Are there concerts that Saturday and that Sunday, or are there concerts running all the way through, from June 25 thru July 3?

I’ve not noticed a ton of promoting right now, other than that limited advertising on walls in The Tube. I wonder whether Marble Arch is the stop to get to the concert, with minimum hassle and maximum convenience?
