Hull Trains Potential Strikes

News media are reporting that ASLEF (the train drivers union) have called strikes on each Friday and Saturday between 7 March and 26 April at the open access operator Hull Trains.

Hull Trains operate from Beverley and Kingston upon Hull to London St Pancras, via principal intermediate stations.

The company themselves are denying that they have been notified of strikes, so make of that what you will.

While it is unlikely that anyone on the forum uses Hull Trains, this information is provided in good faith to allow advance planning on the off-chance that it is of interest to anyone, and in a spirit of constructive helpfulness. Northern Trains and Trans Pennine provide alternative services to Doncaster and York (York is only on Northern) to join LNER and Grand Central trains, also to Sheffield for East Midlands Railway to St Pancras.

It will be updated in due course for further developments.

Hull Trains expect to run a near normal service.

The only planned cancellations are the 0727 from Kings Cross each day and the 1909 from Hull on Friday only.

Existing ticket holders are to use other Hull Trains services. Tickets will not be accepted on LNER or Northern Trains
