We will be ending a transatlantic cruise in Southampton. Our plan is to head to Windsor for a couple of days before flying home. We have reserved a car for 115 British Pounds, but wondering if there is an easy way to travel to Windsor from Southampton Cruise Terminal to Windsor via public transportation. Thank you.

You could take a National Express Coach to LHR, and change to another Coach to Windsor. Or take a train to Waterloo and change to another train to Windsor.

Have you checked with the cruise line? Often they will have disembarkation excursions that go to Windsor and then to the airport. You could probably only do the Windsor part if you like. I do think you are overthinking this a bit. Your savings for two people won’t be all that big compared to the convenience of the driver. This is being said by a person who takes public transport everywhere when in the UK. I would stick with the driver……
