I'll be arriving into Southampton Port from a Repositioning cruise at the end of March. Any suggestions of how to get from the port to Heathrow? My hotel is at the airport as I will fly out the next day. Thanks!! PS -- I love the Travel Forum -- always such good advice!!

Take train to London and local transportation to your hotel. It probably was 15, maybe 20 years so memory is stressed. We stayed overnight in the Victoria Station area and took a train to Heathrow in the morning for late am flight home. It took some time but was easy.

National Express Coach service from the Coach Station direct to LHR terminal 5

The National Express bus stops at Terminal 5, then Terminal 4 then the Central Bus Station for T 2 and 3, almost hourly.

Assuming that you will be off the ship early you might want to get the train into central London and have some time there rather than at an airport hotel. Just choose to stay somewhere with easy access to Heathrow the morning after. That does depend of course on the time of your flight out - any time before 10am and you are probably better staying at the airport.
