How to get from London (near marble arch area) to Windsor Castle

Hello.

This is our first time in London (we are taking our 3 teenage daughters), and I am trying to figure out the best way to get to Windsor Castle from London (our hotel is near the marble arch). I looked on the Windsor Castle website and it gave me these two options:
1) Train - The nearest stations are 'Windsor & Eton Central' or 'Windsor & Eton Riverside'. Visit National Rail Enquiries for times and fares.
2) By Bus a) Green Line 702 service operates daily services from Greenline Coach Station which is near Victoria station, London.
b) Surbiton Coaches runs a shuttle bus service between Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace from spring to autumn.

Honestly, I am kind of stressing about the whole public transportation situation, and especially for this visit which is outside of the core London area.

Any thoughts would be so welcome.

Thanks,
Bob

The train options are from either Paddington station or Waterloo station.

I’ve taken the train from Paddington. It’s an easy trip but you do need to change trains at Slough. There you catch what’s basically a shuttle train into Windsor.

Pretty easy so no need to stress over it.

Train schedules can be checked here.

I just did this. Download Rome2rio app and put in Marble Arch to Windsor Castle and your options pop up. I did this in reverse with a terrible migraine so you can do it. It is really easy.

Thanks to both of you. I did get the Rome2Rio app, and sure enough, it recommends Paddington through Slough.

The Paddington route is faster, cheaper and goes to a more convenient station in Windsor than the Waterloo route. From Marble Arch, Paddington station is just down the street, an easy bus ride.

Leaving from Paddington Station is the best. Once you arrive at Windsor-Elton Central station, as you exit the train turn to your right and walk up to High Street about a 3-4 minute walk. Once you get to High Street you will see the castle across the street.

The trains are stressful when you haven't been there yet. Once you get there and get your bearings, they're easy to figure out. Don't catch a coach. You can figure out the trains from wherever you are to Windsor and Eaton or Riverside. We went from South Kensington to Richmond and then to Windsor Eton & Riverside and it was a super short walk to the castle - you actually see it when you get off the train. That's just the start to an incredible day at Windsor Castle. Enjoy!!! Oh, and pre-buy your castle tickets so you can skip a good part of the line!
