I have 8-days consecutive BritRail pass, I will get on train from Skye in morning to Inverness, and spend day time in Inverness and get on the overnight train around 8:40pm, will be arrived in London next morning around 7:50am. Can anyone help me to figure out this trip count one day or two days with my train pass? Thank you so much!
Two days. Conductors should be checking everyone's ticket as you head south. If you haven't written in each date, the conductor will probably make sure you do so.
With a consecutive days pass, you don't count days in the same way you do with a flexipass. In addition, BritRail passes have an exceptional feature that other rail passes don't: Overnight journeys begun on your BritRail pass's final night can be completed the day after the pass expires.
On overnight trains, a bunk in a twin sleeper costs about $75. Overnight reservations can be made at any train station or before you leave home (US tel. 866-274-8724).
Thank you so much for responding! I just want to clarify that if I start to use the pass on day of Sep-15,
I can get on the overnight train at 8:45pm on Sep-22 and my journey will be ended at morning 7:50am on Sep-23, is my 8-days consecutive BritRail pass ok? Thank you so much for helping me to clarify it!!!
I would read the fine print on your BritRail pass just to be on the safe side.
