How to break up 4 days in London

Hello. I'm actually going to be in London 10 days, but I am planning on day trips as well. So, I have 4 London-only days to check out the city. I'm a bit overwhelmed by it all. SO much to see. Of course I want to see the historic sights (Kensington Palace, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, etc). However, I also want to check out Harrods, Hyde Park, the Gherkin, Millennium Bridge, Covent Garden, etc. I was considering the HOHO bus for day 1 but being that I want to see so many things in different areas, not sure if it's worth it. I need help. What have been some of the best ways you've used to make a plan to see the different parts of London? Any guidance would be so appreciated. Thanks.

The HOHO bus tours cover a couple different routes. So you can see many of these things on your list.
Hop off for the things you want to see, then get on the next bus.
I think you can also buy a multi-day pass?
You can add taking the boat to Greenwich to see the prime meridian, a Jane Austen House, enjoy the park etc.
From the boat you have great views of London (the old and newer parts of the city),
the Gherkin.......
I'll also mention a book I got:
10 Day Trips out of London (from Amazon)
it had all the info how to get to different places, cost to enter, time suggestions etc. I think we went to 4 or 5 places from this book. (Windsor, Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Leeds Castle) We used public transportation for all.
Happy Travels

Google maps satellite view helps. As will buying an Oyster card. Public transport is stellar and the tube can get you across the city from say the Tower or London to Harrods in 30 minutes at most.

If you type in Big Ben London into the search engine of Google Maps the click on the Satellite view option you will see the following:
Westminster:
Big Ben and Parliament
Westminster Bridge
The London Eye
Westminster Abbey
Horse Soldiers
Churchill War Rooms
St James Park
Buckingham Palace

By the Tower of London:
Tower Bridge
Leadenhall Market
Brick Lane Market
Spitalfields Market
The Gherkin
Even St Pauls is only a 1/2 hour walk from Brick Lane

Group things together.
If you must visit Harrods then include:
The Natural History Museum or Science Museum
V & A museum
Hyde Park and the Serpentine
The Diana Memorial Fountain
Saatchi Gallery
Royal Albert Hall
Albert Memorial

Group things together and get the Oyster.
