How much time to plan for getting out of Heathrow/Car service

For the sake of coming up with some sort of schedule...how much time would you plan to
A: get out out of Heathrow - we'll be flying in from the US, mainly carryon luggage but maybe one checked bag- arrive 10am
B: what would be travel time to get from the airport to near the Tower Bridge (south side of river on Queen Elizabeth Street)

Also, does anyone have a car serice they recommend? There will be 6 of us but not much luggage.

Thanks

You never know when your flight is going to be delayed.
And the amount of planes arriving at the same time as yours will have an effect on the time going through passport control and baggage claim.
So count on more or less an hour and a 1/2.
Take the tube instead of a car service since you don't have much luggage

I'd go with an hour to get out of the airport and an hour to get into the city, with traffic as the variable. In my experience, the Tube isn't any faster. I've used JustAirports with fine results.

I've had numerous experiences with both car service and public transport to get into central London from Heathrow.
Heathrow Express is the fastest...15 minutes from Heathrow to Paddington Station. From there you can take the Circle Line to Tower Bridge and then call a car...Uber, Green Tomato, or a cab to take you to wherever you are staying. Lots of options in London for this...
OR you can take the tube all the way in - Piccadilly Line directly from the airport and change to the Circle Line to Tower Hill - that'll take nearly an hour or maybe a little longer.
Every time I've hired a car service from Heathrow into central London it's taken FOREVER! Going all the way across the city to the Tower Bridge area could easily take a couple of hours if traffic doesn't cooperate, especially if you are arriving on a weekday.
My preferred way of getting into the city is always Heathrow Express. So easy and fast!
