Can anyone recommend a good, clean, reasonably priced hotel in Kensington? Any help would really be appreciated.
OK. Good point. Looking to spend in the 100 to 150 pound range. Thanks
I don't know what the rate would be during your trip, but we have enjoyed staying at the Crowne Plaza, South Kensington, three years in a row. It is part of the IHG Hotel Group (Holiday Inn, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza etc.). You can join the IHG Group for free and earn points towards other hotel stays, any where in the world. The hotel is directly across the street from the Gloucester Tube station. You can walk a short distance to Kensington Gardens, etc. The area is very clean, safe and the architecture is worth looking at, just walking up and down the streets.
Thanks very much for your help, Elaine!
My husband and I enjoy staying at the London Lodge Hotel, 134 Lexham Gardens. It's a short walk from the Earl's Court tube stop (which is a straight shot on the Piccadilly line from Heathrow), it has a lift, substantial continental breakfast is included, it's air conditioned, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
Thanks, Mary!
Hello Laurie, the Copthorne Tara is in a great location, just off High Street Kensington. It isn't a fantastic hotel; the rooms are small and unremarkable. But I love that it is close to High Street Kens tube, Whole Foods, Kensington Gardens, and Tesco Express. I usually pay about $150-$180 per night (no breakfast or wifi) which is a fair price for the area.
Thanks so much for your reply, Andrea.
