We will be in London in early April intending to stay in the COVENT GARDEN area for 3 nights. Any suggestions for a clean, moderately priced hotel? I appreciate your suggestions.
A lot of us like the Premier Inn hotels, but it looks like the one in Covent Garden is a HUB, which I would only recommend for somebody traveling solo, as the rooms are quite small.
I have stayed at the regular Premier Inn in Leicester Square, which is fairly close.

How are you defining moderately priced?
Thanks, Nancy. Given the cost of hotels in London, ideally I'd like to find $300-350 per night, including taxes and fees.
We stayed in the Hub by Premier Inn Covent Garden (mentioned above) as a couple and loved it. You won't find better price for a clean modern room in central London. It IS small, however extremely well designed so there is plenty of room for your stuff. I would recommend it highly if your trip will take you out and about the city, only returning to the hotel to change and sleep. There is a good review on YouTube if you want to check it out.
I've also stayed in the HUB at Covent Garden this past fall. Agree that the rooms are efficiently laid out, but my one caution is that you may be placed in a room in the basement with no window. If you are claustrophobic at all, consider carefully if you can be comfortable in a small windowless room for 3 nights (I had a bit of a breakdown the first night leading to me pacing outside the hotel in my pajamas at 1am for a few minutes to calm myself down, I'd never experienced anything like that's before). I also stayed in the HUB near Kings Cross station and loved it, but my tiny room there was above ground with a window that looked out on to a light well, but still a window!
I haven't stayed in a Hub hotel, but it's my impression (from what I've read) that at least some of the rooms have the bed positioned such that Person #2 has to crawl over Person #1 to get into bed. Perhaps I have misunderstood?
A lot of hub rooms don’t have windows even if you’re not in the basement. There are 2 room types - 1 where you only have bed access from 1 side and a larger room where you can walk around the bed. However, these rooms are still small and I think only really ok for 1-2 nights max. When I’ve stayed in a Hub it’s been for 1 night and I have spent literally no time at the hotel except for sleeping. For this type of trip it’s perfect.
I recommend The Resident Hotel Covent Garden.
