Hotels at Heathrow - which Premier Inn

We will be taking an early morning flight from Heathrow, British Air terminal 5, and are planning to spend the night at an airport hotel. We've been pleased with Premier Inn in the past but I'm not certain which one would be best - there are several. There is a Premier Inn/Terminal 5 but it looks like it is several miles from the terminal.

Would anyone know which Premier Inn we should choose?

Thank you so much!!

I have used the PI Terminal 5 location the last 2 times I flew from Heathrow. It is 2/3 miles from the airport, but - my experience - the bus service has been great. The bus line from the airport is Number 423 and it stops outside the hotel. The return 423 bus service goes from just across the street from the PI (not a busy road). Takes about 10 minutes. There is also the possibility to use the hotel hoppa bus (not used this.) The staff at the PI have a sheet with all the bus options and the times. Another advantage of this PI is there is a McDonalds next door (not somewhere I often eat, but can be useful:)). It does have the usual on site restaurants. The last time I went I thought their menu options had improved at bit :).

I have stayed at 2 of the other PIs at Heathrow in the past. (1) There is one actually in T4, long walkway there, but perfectly fine. You'd just have to transfer from T4 to T5. (2) I've also, in the past, stayed at the PI on Bath Road - again, its a perfectly fine PI - but you have to get across the very busy Bath Road to get there.

You might check and compare the prices at the Sofitel, which is connected to T5—a 3-minute walk from the check-in lobby. Sometimes it is very reasonable, and it is certainly convenient. Plus the in-house casual restaurant is decent, so you don’t have to look for a place to eat nearby. (But perhaps the in=house restaurant at the Premier Inn is OK too).

If we're up for a bit of a splurge we'll stay at the Sofitel the night before a flight out of T5 - you can't beat the location. It's an easy walk to the check-in desks in the Terminal, and the hotel really is terrific.
If we're feeling more thrifty we'll opt for the PI on Bath Road - a typical Pemier Inn, ie very nice, and very reasonably priced. We particularly like its location about a 15 minute level walk to the pretty little village of Harmondsworth where there are a couple of very nice pubs that are handy for simple pub grub and/or a pint if we don't feel like dining at the hotel restaurant.
It's about 15 minutes by taxi or Uber to the Terminal, and reception will book one for you on request. Cost was less than GBP20 a couple of months ago.

Just wanted to say 'thank you' again. Decided that, for an early morning flight from Terminal 5. the Sofitel would be the best choice - and without you - I'd not even considered it! Just roll out of bed and walk to the plane - no taxi, no stress - what could be easier?

Good choice. We really liked the Sofitel experience when we did that in September 2022. It made our flight home so easy and stress-free.

agreed - good choice. If you have time in the morning the breakfast is fabulous.
