Would greatly appreciate hotel recommendations for a central location of London (or at least that is near the tube) for a family of 4, and one that will not "break the bank" (less than $350) We are only in London for 3 nights. Thank you for your help.

As above, one of the Premier Inn hotels would work. There are MANY to choose from, so pick one close to an underground stop that has more than one line, if possible. Many here will choose County Hall for its location. We like one of the 3 closest to Kings Cross for their proximity to both multiple tube lines and also train stations.
IIRC, you won't find them on most 3rd party booking sites, but need to go to their own website.
