Hotel Recommendation - Royal Festival Hall

Daughter's Graduation Ceremony on July 24 10:30 AM at Royal Festival Hall. The nearest Tube stations are Waterloo and Embankment. Looking for hotel recommendations for the night before (and possibly the night of). We're trying to build a little vacation around this event. We've been to London before and don't intend to make it the focus of the trip. Still working the details of where we might be before and after. Certain that we will be at this place at this time, however. Thanks for any advice you might offer.

Park Plaza Westminster Bridge or Hampton by Hilton perhaps. Or maybe the Clermont (but note that it and Embankment station are both the other side of the river).

However, it's an easy place to get to so what else you plan to do might have an influence on the best answer

In truth the Royal Festival Hall is easy to get to from anywhere in central London so you don't need to stay next door. How are you getting to London? It might make sense to look for somewhere that is easily accessible from whatever airport or train station as that's when you will be encumbered with bags and will want an easy route.

Depending on budget, the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, County Hall or even the Park Plaza Waterloo (usually a little cheaper than the other two) would all work. All good mid-price hotels with nice touches like pool/spa.

The Marriott County Hall - towards the luxury end of things - is nearby. Or there’s the Premier Inns County Hall and Waterloo. Just across the Thames, the Citadines Trafalgar Square is an easy walk across if you’re interested in an aparthotel.
