Hotel near Victoria Station

Just like I recently spent a week in Paris, I am now considering spending just a week in London, no cruise. Just a week in London.

Last time that I was in London, my hotel was across the street from Kensington Gardens on Bayswater Road. I walked to Victoria Coach Station when it was time to leave.

I walked through Hyde Park and then a bit of a long walk on a beautiful road passing or coming close to Buckingham Palace area and continuing past Victoria Station to Victoria Coach.

I had not discovered this area when I was in London and now I would like to stay in this area for 6 nights. I fell in love with it as I was walking to Victoria Coach.

I have done some research and am familiar with P I Victoria. I discovered the Best Western which is next to Victoria Station.

P I Victoria has some mixed responses and so does Best Western but the problem with Best Western was that you can hear the sound of trains and even some vibrations which I do not feel would bother me.

And there were several others on booking.com which would work. In fact there were many.

I am beginning to get the travel bug although I had decided to not go anywhere until September 2027.

So what are the latest reviews about P I Victoria? Has anyone stayed at Best Western next to Victoria Station?

What other suggestions for hotels near Victoria Station?

And exciting news. I can fly non stop from Austin to London on American. There is one non stop every single day. Delta was also offering one and I will be checking with Delta. Have not done that yet.

Because of the help from forum , I will not need to ask as many questions as I did the first and only time that I went to London.

Prices are still good on both air and hotels.

We stayed in a Hilton which was across the street from Victoria Station. We flew home from Gatwick which was very convenient from Victoria Station.

Hi Phil—I was just looking at the P I Victoria earlier today. I plan to stay near Victoria station before my Rabbie’s tour next year.

I did not like the recent reviews for the hotel and will not be staying there because of the reviews.

I’ve decided on the Clermont Victoria instead. It was just slightly more expensive than the P I for my May dates. I have often found that if you book early enough, 10-11 months out, you can get some great prices on many hotels.

Thank you Carrie

yes, I became a bird watcher during Covid and have fallen in love with birds.

My last time in London, I stayed across the street from Kensington Gardens and it is a great place for birds. I often had to pull myself away to do other things.

I do not doubt that I will be at St James Park watching the birds.

I, too, do not like the reviews of P I Victoria.

And I have noticed the Clermont Victoria on booking.com. I am Genius I on booking and usually book through booking.

Thank you Barbara

I will look into the Hilton but feel that it may be out of budget, just being a Hilton.

I will probably be using Heathrow and expect that it will also be convenient to get to and from Victoria Station.

Thank you everyone.

I looked up all the results and all of the suggestions were extremely nice but if I want breakfast and free cancellation, they fall out of budget.

No breakfast and non-refundable were within budget but the price seems to jump about $300 when I want breakfast and free cancellation.

There are other options on booking which fall within budget which includes breakfast and free cancellation but they are not as nice as the suggestions that forum gave me..

I am also needing to be careful when I search booking that some of the older building have elevators to the upper floors and private bathrooms.
