I’m looking for a hotel near Saint Pancras station for one night
Premier Inn St. Pancras
I've stayed there twice. It's across the street from the station.
If you want to splurge, The St. Pancras Renaissance:
Hi from Wisconsin,
Stayed there twice, too. Clean, quiet, safe. And a reasonable price and sized room for London. Across the road from both St. Pancras AND the British Library!!!! It is free and the displays are amazing. Beatles manuscripts, Fleming's notes about discovering penicillin, The Anglo-Saxon Chronicles if you are a Viking fan, a copy of the original Magna Carta ( there are four originals), I could go on and on. Did I mention it is free? About the only thing that is in London.
And there are at least two real pubs with meals nearby, The Norfolk Arm, and Mabel's. Tavern. NOT The Euston Flyer...don't do it.

Are you serious? There are more free museums in London than anywhere else in the world (probably, I haven't actually researched it!)
As for hotels, if you'd like a bit of a splurge then the Renaissance St. Pancras is nice otherwise the Premier Inn is perfectly acceptable.
Another splurge may be Great Northern Hotel. It is connected to Kings Cross Station and immediately across the street from St Pancras Station -- https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/lontx-great-northern-hotel-a-tribute-portfolio-hotel-london/overview/
And last March I did a night in London before heading to Edinburgh and stayed at The Megaro Hotel, across the street from both St Pancras and Kings Cross -- https://www.themegaro.co.uk/
