Hotel near Heathrow with shuttle to airport

Hi! We’re doing RS Southern England Village tour in September and have an early flight back to Seattle on September 18. Rather than rush early to Heathrow, are there suggestions for a not terribly expensive but nice hotel near the airport? Frankfurt had this amazing chain hotel that had a tunnel right to the airport; not expecting that. Suggestions?

Carol, congrats on your upcoming RS tour. Could you specify from which Heathrow terminal you will fly? That may make a difference in the responses you receive.

There is a very nice but usually expensive Sofitel directly at Terminal 5.

An adequate and less expensive Thistle is near Terminal 5 and is reached
by a travelpod system. There are Youtube videos.....

There is a Hilton Garden walking distance to Terminals 2 & 3.

Also for terminals 2 & 3, there are many hotels on the north side of LHR along
Bath Road. Mostly chain hotels so you have some idea of what you're getting.
But I am not sure any of them have shuttles; instead, the buses run from along
Bath Road to the airport. There is also a thing called the Hotel Hoppa bus service
but it is pretty much a ripoff.

Lastly, there are hotels more or less at the Hatton Cross tube stop and it is a
quick ride to Heathrow from there.

We stayed at the Aerotel in Terminal 3. It was very convenient since our early morning flight left from Terminal 3. Price was quite reasonable for a short 12 hour stay. Room was small but clean and good for sleeping (no windows, very small bathroom).

The Premier Inn T4 is connected to Terminal 4 by an enclosed walkway. It's a bit of a walk--I'd guess at least 10 minutes. That PI usually has really good rates. It's a standard PI with a really comfy bed.

Be sure you choose the cancellable option. The rate is usually lower the earlier you book.

There are a range of hotels for each terminal and some that effectively serve all

Thanks to all suggestions. I’ve heard of the Hoppa bus and guess that’s the best option! This is our 10th RS trip but it’s been awhile (pandemic) and as I age, need more help, so thank you.

This is the website for the Hotel Hoppa bus service-https://www.hotelhoppa.co.uk/

I agree with @shoeflyer that it is a rip off, when red London buses serve all the hotels at a far higher frequency, and much cheaper, but then everyone is different.
They could have fares far more in line with local bus fares, but choose to charge a premium.

The only benefit is that the Hotel Hoppa is designed to cope with luggage whereas London buses aren't. For a group of people a taxi may be cheaper than the Hotel Hoppa.
