I will be traveling to London in late March and would like some suggestions for a hotel. I need a mid range hotel in price but as nice as I can get for the money. I want it to be either in Soho or very near. Any suggestions?
Try the Nadler Soho
I can't help you with a hotel, but perhaps you'd like to understand the spelling of the London Soho name.
A lot of North Americans confuse the spelling with the similar named area in New York City. SoHo in New York is south of West Houston Street, east of 6th Avenue, west of Crosby Street and north of Canal Street and the name is a contraction of South of Houston Street so capitalize the first letters of both parts - So Ho or SoHo.
Soho in London is an old neighborhood (there's one in Birmingham, too) which isn't a contraction of anything and only the initial letter is written in caps.
Thanks for the clarification Nigel, often wondered why Americans write it that way.
Thank you for the correction.
