Can anyone recommend a hotel near the train station in Chester? I'll fly into London on April 6 and take the train to Chester and have one night in Chester before my two night stay at Gladstone's library in Hawarden. Thank you.

Believe there is a Premiere Inn. Haven’t stayed there but other Premiere Inns I’ve stayed at in England were fine. Use TripAdvisor to find reviews of the Chester one.

Thank you. The most important thing is to be close to the train station as I'll arrive in the early evening and will leave for Hawarden (thank you for the pronunciation, Emma!) by noon the next day. I'd prefer at least a 3 star hotel, under $150 per night. The Queen looks lovely and the Premier Inn would fit the bill.

Last summer we stayed at the Queen. It is right across from the railway station. We were three couples and we spent two nights. We arrived from our flights from the US and departed to Chirk for our Narrowboat hire. The Queen and Chester worked out very well as the places to de-jet lag prior to continuing on.
