hotel accommodations near theatre

Hi
We are going to the Victoria Palace Theatre and are not familiar with the area. Looking for recommendations for hotel accommodations. Are there good hotels close by the theatre or is it better to stay in another area of the city of London.
Thank you

You can go to the Google Maps site, type in Victoria Palace Theatre, London, select the Nearby button and then Hotels and you will see a variety. The prices on the screen will not necessarily be appropriate for when you are there. The selection is not comprehensive nor independently rated. Most contain links to the hotels where you can see management's rates. On-line agencies such as Booking.com and Hotels.com (there are lots of them) sometimes will offer better prices.

I usually stay at The Lime Tree Hotel on Ebury St which is a 10-15 minute walk from that theater. It’s a small hotel in a Georgian building. No elevator or AC, rooms are small but to me it has a lot of charm. I love the staff!!

However, transportation on the Tube is pretty easy so you needn’t restrict yourself if you’d prefer to stay elsewhere.

When are you planning to travel?

How much do you wish to spend for your weekend stay?

Near your theatre are numerous hotels. Your budget will dictate your choice:

The Grosvenor
Double Tree
Premiere Inn
Tophams
Comfort Inn

Use TripAdvisor to review each and see which, if any, meets your needs.

As other people have said, it's an area of London with a lot of hotels, but I wouldn't pick it purely for proximity to the theatre. London public transport is good and safe enough that you'd have no problem getting to any other part of the city after the play. If there are other things you want to see, pick a hotel location based on that.
