Holder for Visa card

Last year I lost my Visa card in London :-(

Because I used it for Tube and bus I kept it in the front pocket of my trousers and at one point I also had my phone in the same pocket. I guess it followed the phone out of the pocket and dropped to the floor/pavement.

I have googled for holders, but they are more suited for ID cards.

Does anyone know of some sort of holder that can hold ONE credit or Oister card and with a line or lanyard or a ring to attach a line?

I keep my Oyster and other travelcards/railcards or tickets in a pocket in a 3 compartment hard plastic folder, which is rail ticket size, so right size for a CC.

I have several dozen of them at home, as you used to struggle to get ticket clerks not to give you one if you made a complex rail ticket purchase.

Maybe Nigel knows if rail companies still issue those, or if they've vanished with internet ticket purchasing. He'll know what I mean.

I'd be worried about the perception of crime if wandering around London wearing something on a lanyard. Perception being the key word, not threat.

You can setup Apple/Android pay on your smartphone, and use your phone to pay for the London Metro.

My travel wallet has an outside slip pocket, which works well for a transit pass or credit card.

Another option…. Use an Oyster card for the tube to eliminate need to pull out VISA card so often.

Or use an Oyster card wallet with a credit card inside ...

Keep it in a different pocket.

The only holders I know of that small, with a lanyard, are for wearing around your neck.

Have you had a look on Amazon?

I too have a drawer of the double fold ticket holders. My preferred method of Oyster or credit card use. Just be sure if you have more than one method of payment in it to take it out before use.

I don't give them away because eventually the fold fails and I need to start another.

As to are they still giving them out, I found pre-covid that it was becoming less and less easy.

Now after covid I don't know. I've been past a couple of closed ticket offices recently so of course they won't be giving them out.... maybe a big station in London?

Thank you everyone for your answers. I'll have to think about what I do, but your input is highly appreciated.
