Hiring a taxi or private car from Oxford to St. Pancras

My party of three will be visiting Oxford for a few days in September and then taking the Eurostar from St. Pancras Station to France. Some of us have mobility issues and we have decided to hire a taxi or private car rather than take the train and tube. Any recommendations? (We are leaving on a Saturday, if that matters.)

Thanks!

You would be looking at a minicab - Blackberry Cars are often recommended and are quoting £120 approx. Alternatively you can choose a local Oxford minicab firm.

Leave plenty of time for traffic.

have you got Passenger Assist booked? In addition to leaving PLENTY of time for car issues / traffic be sure that you allow the required check in time at Eurostar. If you aren't travelling in top First Class or with disabled assistance which have different deadlines, 75 minutes ahead of travel is current, when full EES comes live at St Pancras International I'm sure it will be significantly longer and when ETIAS arrives, even longer. The required time will be on your ticket.

I wouldn't want you to miss the train.

What time is your train?.

Simon,

Thanks for the Blackberry Cars tip.

Nigel,

Passenger assistance hadn't occurred to me. My wife usually books it for air travel so I will look into it. Thank you for that! Our train leaves at 12:31. I figure if we leave the hotel in Oxford Centre by 9:00 we should have enough time.

Google maps suggests 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 40 minutes for that journey leaving at 9am. If the journey is towards the higher end you will be too late leaving at 9. I would suggest earlier to be sure, or take the train plus a taxi from Paddington, which will be quicker.
