Have you had experience with right-hand drive ? Took me a few days to feel comfortable.
Have you considered using a series of local taxis?
Rochester is a small place and your choice of car hire offices will be limited. I have googled this and Europcar is the only recognisable name there, but it’s out on an industrial estate. It’s closed Sundays and closes at 1pm on Saturdays. You would have to check with them about how to get to them.
Old Soar Manor (one of the least interesting NT properties in Kent IMO) closes Fridays. Nearby Igtham Mote is far more interesting.
Temple Manor is just over a mile from Rochester town centre, so you don’t need a car. It’s only open at the weekend.
St Leonard’s Tower can only be viewed from the outside. Why do you want to go here? Bodiam Castle is a finer example.
The sights that you have chosen are not the most obvious things to see in this part of the world.
If you are in the Rochester area, nearby Chatham Dockyard is a great day out.
Thanks for the tip about Ingram Mote, I will try to see that instead of Old Soar- I didn’t realize it was close to Rochester. I would need to get a taxi to get me there.
Another vote for Igtham Mote. I stop there often for a lovely breather on my way home from France via the Channel Tunnel.
I went St Leonard’s Tower yesterday - I only live about 15 miles away and have never been before. It’s very underwhelming and I won’t be rushing back there!
