Highclere-Newbury-Stonehenge-Bath-Windsor

We are spending a few days in London in June. We have tickets at Highclere on a Tuesday afternoon and plan tofly home the following Saturday. So I'm trying to come up with an itinerary for those four days and could use some advice. Right now here is what I'm thinking:

Tuesday > early A.M. drive to Newbury; check in; have lunch walk town; drive to Highclere for tour; spend night in Newbury.
Wednesday > drive to Stonhenge; drive to Bath; check in spend afternoon in Bath
Thursday > spend time in Bath; afternoon drive to Windsor; spend night in Windsor
Friday > tour Windsor castle; rest of day wander Windsor; spend night in Windsor
Saturday > drive to airport Heathrow

Am I trying to do too much here?

Thanks,
Steve

It depends how interested you are in Stonehenge, but IMO driving to Stonehenge and Bath on the same day will mean just a lot of time in the car, with little time on the ground. Stonehenge has a wonderful visitor centre with informative exhibits indoors and out. Then you can also see Woodhenge and Durrington Walls. So it's a lot more than just having a gander at the stones.

Also, if stone circles intrigue you, you can drive north from Stonehenge to Avebury and walk the circle there (you can go right up to the stones) and see the museum if time permits. It's a nice drive through part of the Savernake Forest. Then a straight shot on the Bath Road back to Newbury. Or drive south to Old Sarum and Salisbury.

I think if I were in your shoes I'd skip Bath and concentrate on Stonehenge and Windsor. Alternatively, if you're very keen to visit Bath, skip Stonehenge.
