Hello
I'll be visiting Highclere Castle next month traveling from Reading by train then taxi.
This may sound like a silly question, but how do we get back from Highclere to the train station? Do we work it out with our first-leg taxi driver?

Yes, when the taxi dropped us off at Highclere he handed us a card with the number to call to be picked up.

I used Ave Cabs during my visit to Highclere. They were very reliable. You can arrange a pickup time with the driver.

You could ask your first taxi. Alternatively, their website lists the phone numbers for a number of taxi companies; you could call when you are ready to depart.

URGENT--I hope you check in ASAP. Great Western has a promotion expires today 1/9 and since that might be GB time you might already be too late. I bought my tickets for the castle a few days ago after randomly checking. Paid 6 pounds each way, otherwise very expensive.
