Hidcote Garden visit

Hello all,
How long should we plan for touring the Gardens at Hidcote? So excited to visit there!
Thanks!

You'll love it! We spent about 2 hours enjoying the gardens. Not much to say about the manor, as few rooms were open to the public. Gardens were fabulous.

You will be near Snowhill Manor and Garden which has a fascinating collection of curios. It is another National Trust Property. Check their Web site for other places to visit with opening times, maps and directions.

I was at Hidcote two days ago. Even so early in the season it was in fabulous condition and we loved our visit.

I go regularly and have been dozens of times, so my visit was about 90 minutes to visit the bits we wanted to be in. I would think that a first time visitor who is keen on gardens would want 90 minutes to about 3 hours or so to calmly see many of the rooms. There is quite a lot of ground to cover.

A short stroll across the pasture from Hidcote Gardens is Hidcote Boyce, a beautiful tiny village where you can stay at a 1600s farmhouse booked through AirBnB. It's called The Old House, and the rates were quite reasonable (for the Cotswolds) when we stayed last June.
