Can someone discribe how we get from Terminal 3 to the Hertz rental car location?
Not sure if this is a walk, shuttle, etc. and how long it will take?

Shuttle (van/bus). There's one Hertz rental location at Heathrow, located on the peripheral road that runs around the airport. It should only take a few minutes depending on how frequently the shuttles run.
Assuming you're traveling from the US, check pricing at autoeurope.com if your rental will be at least three days. You may save some money and rent from Hertz (if you choose).
Yes, we have already paid for our rental van from Hertz through AutoEurope. We have 7 adults with carryon bags so I was hoping it was very nearby.
Thanks!
There are shuttle buses every 15 minutes - different companies have their own buses and different bus stops at each terminal - some share the stops but we'll signposted on each stop. Whoever you rented car through or with should have given you these bus number/s. .. it should also be on the fine print in rental agreement.
Our car rental broker in Australia even emailed when Hertz changed the bus number/s from the time we booked earlier this year to when we picked it up a few days ago.
But to be honest in the past 2 months while travelling around Britain & Europe we have rented cars from Enterprise, Europcars and now Hertz. .. several of them from Heathrow depots and although class of cars booked were identical... Hertz was the worst by far for customer service AND the other two companies both gave us upgrades without asking - and I am a Hertz Gold Member! Never again.
We rented through AutoEurope, but it is a Hertz rental. That is not encouraging! Hope we have a better experience!
Thanks for the info.
We rent from Hertz almost every time. We have never had problems and have really had a good experience with them. That's why we continue to rent from them so hopefully that will continue. We just walk out to the curb after getting our luggage and catch a van to Hertz from there.
We just completed a 23 day rental from Hertz, LHR to Edinburgh airport. We had no problems with the rental or the LHR rental office. (This was a relief, since we were ripped off in 2012 by Hertz Ireland.)
I also had a very bad experience with Hertz London Marble Arch a few years back. It was the worst I had ever experienced in my 20+ years of car rental experience.
The car was filthy and the guy just passed me the key and said that's your car, and then walked away without any further words or waited until I have inspected the exterior of the car.
I will never ever go for Hertz again !
We have rented from Hertz many times at LHR and never had a problem except the last time. We used our AE card to rent the car several months ahead. Meanwhile the problem at Target (big glitch with security) caused us to cancel that card and get a new AE card. So the people at the Hertz desk had the card number of the one we cancelled and we were there an hour at least while they had to get an OK/approval on the new card.
