Help needed on trains...urgent!

Needing some fast advice on train travel from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverly station...We are looking to travel on Sat, June 7 in the morning. After looking at the engineering works notice, am not sure if I should book these tickets or not. The notice indicates

"Saturday and until 08:30 Sunday
Trains will run to a reduced timetable to / from London Kings Cross. Some trains will start / terminate at Stevenage or Peterborough. Passengers should use other trains between Stevenage / Peterborough and London Kings Cross. Journey times will be extended by up to 30 minutes."

What does it mean...passengers should use other trains between Stevenage/Peterborough and London Kings Cross? Do I book different tickets to those areas and then a different train from Peterborough to Edinburgh? or if I book a ticket from Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverly are we automatically switched to another train?

A little lost here...have sent email to East Coast trains to see if they can shed some light. Thanks for any help! Ruth

Hi book em.
It just means a change of train at stevenage/peterborough.
I presume the ticket lets you book thru to Edinburgh or is it only allowing you to book to Stevenage/Peterboro?

Rereading, if its an Advance ticket is it allowing you to book from London to Edinburgh or from Peterboro/Stevanage- Edinburgh.
.
I hope the option is its one booking London-Edinburgh and you just need to allow enough time to meet the connection, the London-Stevandge/Peterboro will be in the ticket price

Thats it,I would think they will be pretty generous in which train to do the first leg on a Sat. not being a weekday unless they are explictly giving you the connection in your booking
The second leg being advanced has to be the train time on the ticket
