Help getting to HCP tomorrow please?

Hi,
I’m trying to sort out the best option for getting to HCP from Earl’s Court for our 10am timed ticket tomorrow (21Aug). The rail strike will be over but from what I am hearing on the ground, rail confusion is expected until mid morning so I am worried about trying to take the train. I am thinking we should take the tube to either Richmond or Wimbledon and try to get an Uber from there to HCP. Can anyone tell me which (Richmond or Wimbledon) would be a better option? Thanks!!

Tube to Richmond, then take the R68 bus to Hampton Court.

Depending where you are in London it may take 30 minutes or more on the tube to get to Richmond.

The bus ride from there will be another 45 minutes.

So leave early

Trains should be back. Perhaps you can take the train back?

That would have been a good idea, Nigel! We bounced back to the District line tube stop on the bus that, I’m convinced, made 50 stops! But we got back to our roost at the Resident Kensington so all is well! Highly recommend both visiting Hampton Court Palace and Buckingham Palace (if here during the summer when it is open to the public). Both were amazing! The exhibit of Japanese art at the Queens Gallery and the special Jubilee exhibit in the State rooms at Buckingham Palace were highlights for me.
