Heathrow to Windsor is it a good idea?

Is trying to do Windsor the same day we fly in too much? We are coming transatlantic and will land at 9:00am.

What do you intend to do with your luggage? As already suggested in your other post, get to your accommodation, freshen up and walk around your neighborhood or get yourselves to Parliament Square.

It would be too much for me but I’m not sure where you are flying from. I fly from the Inland Northwest so at least 1 change with transit time which extends the journey making for a long trip.

I’d vote for getting outside and some of the suggestions in your other thread.

I will just say that if you are staying in Windsor, so can get to your hotel, drop bags or check in, maybe have a light snack for lunch, then doing the castle (if that is what you are asking) is probably not too much.

I usually spend the afternoon anyplace wandering around, doing it on a castle grounds and in a few buildings is not too much.

Ever travel to Europe before?

Ever experienced jet lag?

You are right, trying to fit in too much. Who needs the stress?

Vacation is defined as “an extended period of leisure and recreation, especially one spent away from home or in traveling.”

Slow down! Breathe.

Yes! I have traveled to Europe several times, last summer got off a plane in Rome and went straight to the Colosseum. Jet lag is not a problem for me, but I think with the bag issue its just too much.
Thanks

Each to their own. I travel with carry on and prefer to check in, unpack, then head out to explore the neighborhood. Easy peasy arrival day and then getting a good nights sleep are my preference.Has to do with from flying from LAX. Long flight.
