I see two options getting to/from Heathrow and Reading. Can't tell where the National Express bus leaves from in Reading though. That option is cheaper but we're staying close to the rail station. Recommendations? Thanks for helping. Julia
National Express's Reading town center stop is only about a block away from their train station stop; see a map at http://coach.nationalexpress.com/nxbooking/stop-finder.
National Express does not run the Railair coaches although you may be able to buy tickes via them. They are a service of First and the stop is right outside the older area of the railway station.
National Express coaches stop way on the outskirts of Reading near the motorway - you aren't likely to be bothered by these unless you confuse somebody asking about them ...
Looks like I missed National Express' detail about a connection at that location outside Reading.
That is where the National Express coaches stop from London itself enroute to other destinations - going all the way into Reading and out again is too disruptive to schedules.
Thank you Laura and Marco. You clarified it all for me, and now I can make the decision. (I think we'll use Rail-Air transport each way. Cheers and happy traveling to you, Julia
