Hi fellow travelers,
My friend will be flying United Airlines from Newark International to Heathrow 4/30/24 (not sure what terminal she will arrive at). She then will need to make her way to Reading but is unsure of the best way to get there. Any train info -terminals, ticket purchasing and pricing, transfer stations or direct routes- is much appreciated. Thanks All!
Just take the bus. https://www.railair.com
I agree with Badger. Take the RailAir coach. The coaches are clean, comfortable, and it's a direct route to Reading Station.
I appreciate the information. Thanks much!!!
I did this just a few days ago. I think she'll arrive at Terminal 2 if she's flying United.
No need to schlep to the Central Bus Station anymore! The RailAir bus leaves from "Stands" 11/12 -- in the parking lot just across from the terminal. You just go through baggage claim and customs, step into the breezeway, take the escalator or lift down to Level 0, and walk about 10 feet toward the parking lot – Stands 6 through 12 are the second lane. This map should show the bus lanes at Terminal 2.
It's a fairly short ride to Reading (40 min?), and the bus stops right outside Reading Rail Station.
Thanks for the detail Laura! I have passed it on.
Steve, you're very welcome!
(btw I was born in Troy! I just went through Troy/Albany on the train from Buffalo to NYC!)
