Any suggestions for traveling from Heathrow Airport to the Phoenix Hotel for two - 60+ y/o persons in good shape with only a 21" roller bag each? Their web site provides little help.
It's not a bad walk from Paddington. Heathrow Express or Connect to Paddington.
Charlie, I often have good luck getting to a hotel by writing directly to the hotel, explaining where I will be arriving from and requesting the easiest route to their hotel.
If you are arriving on a Saturday or Sunday the Heathrow Express has a great price of £5.50 for tickets bought 90 days in advance:
It was £6.99 for any day of the week when I bought ours last month! but now it is different. Weekdays are £12.10 which is not much better than the DuoSaver price of £12.50, but still much better because you can buy one-way.
We spend our first or last night in London in a hotel near Paddington and always walk. If you do not wish to walk it would be pretty inexpensive to take a cab that short distance.
It is frustrating how Heathrow Express keeps juggling its discounts - but I guess they must have lost more revenue than expected by offering the 90-day ticket all week at the original rate.
I had forgotten about the Heathrow Express discounts. Last year we took the Connect, which was fine, but this year the Express is cheaper, or at least it was when we bought our tickets last month. Here are links to two threads dealing with it:

They're worth checking out, especially if Heathrow keeps changing its policy.
Charlie,
I've stayed at the Phoenix.
I had every intention of taking the Heathrow Express, but it was not running when I arrived. Some sort of mechanical difficulty. I took the tube. From Heathrow this is only the Piccadilly Line. Get off at Earl's Court. Follow the signs to the District Line (green), terminating at Edgware Road. Get off at Bayswater Station. Take the stairs up to the street level. Once you are outside the station, turn to your left and walk along Queensway Street until you reach Porchester Road. It's a block-and-a-half. There's a traffic light. Turn LEFT and walk one block. Cross the street in the same direction of travel. You are now standing in front of the Phoenix!
If all else fails, get on to Google maps and walk the route. Have a lovely trip. It looks like they have renovated the lobby since I stayed.

It is a much longer walk from Paddington.
Heathrow to Phoenix Hotel(1-8 Kensington Gardens Square, London W2 4BH,UK) it takes nearly 50-60 minutes journey.
If you want to go privately then hire a Private rental Car..
It is upto you, but as per my knowledge i can suggest you to book a private car to move quickly and also privately.
