My wife and I will be in London in Sept. and will be staying in Greenwich right on the high street.What is the best/easiest way to get from Heathrow term.5 to Greenwich. Can we take the DLR ? Cheers Bill

Are you staying at a hotel that might recommend directions? The route finder at www.tfl.gov.uk is returning options with a few connections. See also the map at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/maps/track.

There's a couple of high streets in the borough. How about an address? Without one, all you'll get is assumptions and guesses.
You can get to the DLR eventually, but, absent using the Heathrow Express, it's going to initially be the Piccadilly, then maybe a Central or Jubilee to connect to it.
Maybe an hour and a half with a good chunk of walking (what's the luggage situation?). It might be time to start thinking about a cab or hire car.

The non Heathrow express way is probably Piccadilly to Green Park, Jubilee to London Bridge, Southeastern train to Greenwich.
