We are flyinging into Heathrow from the US and need to get to Gatwick airport to catch a flight to Florence Italy. What is the easiest most direct way to get there?

There is a direct National Express bus between them, it takes about an hour (possibly longer with traffic).

Thank you both for responses. Our arrival time was just changed to 8:05 am to Heathrow and flight from Gatwick departs at 3:05pm , so we have plenty of time to get there. There is so much info about taking the train,etc that was a bit overwhelming.
We are applying for our ETA, so will be all set!

Either take the direct bus, or it's now more easy than it used to be by train - take the Elizabeth Line to Farringdon and a Thameslink train from Farringdon to Gatwick.
