Heathrow terminal 5 to Bath

We will be arriving at Heathrow on Sat. Sept. 21st at 10AM and going straight on to Bath. I am planning to take the train. The National Rail site reflects the journey as; the Heathrow Express into Paddington and then the train from Paddington to Bath. We will be returning to London by train from York on Oct 4th and spend 7 nights in London.
My question: does the train out of London on Sept 21st and the train into London on Oct 4th give us the ability to use the 2 4 1 London pass? If it doesn't, we might take the bus from terminal 2/3 to Bath. It appears quite convenient and less expensive.
Thanks in advance.

You need tickets to bookend your stays in London to qualify for the the 2-for-1 deal for the duration otherwise the single from York would count for that day only.

You don't mention the other way of doing the trip, ie Railair coach to Reading from T5 and train onwards from there. Would be quicker than backtracking into London for the train anyway.

There are a couple of attractions in Bath and York in the National Rail 2-for-1 deal but they are more minor.

" 2 4 1 London pass?"
Do you mean the 2 for 1 offers (nothing to do with the London Pass.)

Personally I would be inclined to take the National Express coach to Bath. No faffing about with trains into London and back out again, plus it's cheaper and has free wi-fi if that's important.

Thanks for the info.
Think we will take the bus.

The drawback is the faff of having to change terminals which for me kind of equalises the inconvenience. If you were arriving into the central area it is a pretty clear cut a choice for the coach if the timetable fits.

If you think you might shave it fine pay the extra £5 for the right to use a later coach if necessary.

At least you aren't arriving at T4 - the half-empty back of beyond terminal no one wants to use any more.

If we did a day trip to Windsor on Oct 10th and purchased advance tickets would the 2 4 1 be available between the Oct 4th when we arrive in London from York and Oct 10th?

It appears that you have already made your airline reservations. If you haven't, you might consider flying into Bristol instead of Heathrow. One way to do that is to change planes in Dublin. Bristol is a very short train ride from Bath.
